Breaking through a sea of traditional pastries, Duo Li Duo Foods Corporation was honored with the Excellence Award at the 2024 Taiwan Top 100 Pastry Souvenir Awards — not for a pastry, but for its exceptional product: Dried Golden Irwin Mango. Though categorized as dried fruit, the product surprises consumers with its juicy texture and vibrant taste, redefining what it means to enjoy “dried” fruit. Rather than merely outperforming traditional snacks, it revolutionizes the concept of natural fruit snacks in the modern age.
Winning this award marks a significant milestone for the brand, a turning point in marketing and recognition. The entire team views the honor not only as validation but as motivation to continue refining their craft — aspiring to become a brand that customers simply can’t live without.

The award-winning Royal Gift Box, featuring the star product — Dried Golden Irwin Mango — draws its name from the Chinese phrase “Where there is land, there is wealth.” The radiant golden hue of the mango slices symbolizes not only health and natural beauty but also conveys a blessing from giver to recipient: “May your life be golden and luxurious.” The inner packaging incorporates Duo Li Duo’s signature D-L-D initials with elegant embossed gold floral motifs, enhancing the premium feel.
In Taiwan’s agrarian past, there was a saying — “gold has a fragrance” — referring to the weight, worth, and even aroma of real gold. Duo Li Duo’s marketing team draws on this tradition to bestow deeper meaning upon their product. Far from being a trivial snack, this golden fruit is a symbol of cherished memories and heartfelt wishes, embodying the idea that the simplest gifts often carry the greatest meaning.
Dubbed the finest dried mango on Earth, the product is crafted with care at every stage. It begins with freshly harvested Irwin mangoes grown in Yujing, Tainan by local farmers. These premium-grade fruits are shipped fresh without any artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Using a low-temperature baking method for 72 hours, each 13 kilograms of fresh mango yields only 1 kilogram of dried slices. Each mango is sliced into just two thick cuts, retaining every fiber and nutrient — including vital vitamins and minerals. It’s delicious as a snack, in a summer fruit infusion, or dipped in bamboo salt for a refreshing twist.
Low-temperature drying (48–50°C) offers three major advantages:
Preserves nutrients: Retains more vitamins and trace elements.
Reduces harmful compounds: Minimizes the formation of carcinogens associated with high heat.
Enhances taste and aroma: Avoids burnt notes, allowing the mango’s natural sweetness and fragrance to shine. Compared to conventional hot air drying (typically 70–80°C), Duo Li Duo’s method results in a brighter color and truer flavor — sealing in the essence of the fruit without sacrificing its natural charm.
Because low-temperature baking does not involve sugar curing, it requires only the highest-quality fruits — the same standards used for export-grade produce. This sets Duo Li Duo apart from many competitors who rely on mass-processing shortcuts. By choosing only fresh, locally harvested mangoes, the company reduces carbon emissions associated with transportation and supports small farmers directly.
To meet the high gifting expectations during Mid-Autumn Festival, Duo Li Duo launched its Royal Gift Box — designed to reflect both luxury and traditional Chinese values. Styled with a rounded exterior and square core, the box echoes the shape of high-end handbags while embracing the Confucian ideal of inner virtue. The understated elegance suits both gift-giving and personal enjoyment, and its reusable design supports environmental consciousness.
Even the packaging details carry symbolic meaning:
Four flavors, eight packs: Representing "everything going smoothly" and "good fortune from all directions."
Diamond-shaped inner wraps: Resemble butterflies, signifying the phrase “When flowers bloom, butterflies will come” — a wish for abundance and harmony.
From ingredient sourcing to final presentation, every step is intentional. Duo Li Duo prioritizes locally grown mangoes to lower carbon emissions and invests in energy-efficient production methods to minimize environmental impact.
